In North America, Mini-Forests are generally located in urban and suburban areas across both the United States and Canada. In the U.S., they are found in cities across the Northeast, Midwest, and parts of the South. In Canada, mini-forests are concentrated in urban centers primarily in Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia, with additional locations in Alberta and the Maritimes.  

In Iowa, you can visit a Mini-Forest in person at the Brookview Mini-Forest located in West Des Moines. Currently, this is the only Mini-Forest in Iowa, but plans are underway by the City of Des Moines for the creation of Iowa’s next mini-forest.
